Wood, wool and copper sculpture.  Retroviruses are represented by copper wires covering a wool core representing the intricate structure necessary for integrating with the host genome.  

The major artistic influence of this work is Joseph Beuys whose interest was in the conducting properties of copper and insulating properties of wool thread.  

This piece reflects on the therapeutic balance in medicine, which also requires a finely woven interplay between conduction and insulation
